Latest Update on COVID-19 from Sri Lanka
As of 11th March 2020
Health Ministry officials have confirmed that one Sri Lankan national has contracted COVID-19. The patient has been quarantined and is being treated at the Infectious Diseases Hospital. This is the first Sri Lankan to contract the virus within the country.
As of 10th March 2020, passengers arriving from South Korea, Italy and Iran will be quarantined for a period of 14 days. The Sri Lankan Government has requested passengers and the general public to support the measures taken to prevent the spread of the virus in the country.
